A New Level of Open-Platform Performance

Mamiya introduces the next level of camera performance for digital medium format photographers – the Mamiya 645DF camera. With autofocus speeds up to 30% faster than previous models, plus a new companion series of leaf shutter lenses, the Mamiya 645DF offers substantial performance upgrades for owners of virtually any brand of digital back, including Leaf®, Mamiya®, Phase One®, and Sinar®.

Combining 35mm handling ease and speed but with an available image capture area almost three times larger, the Mamiya 645DF is a full-featured camera, utilizing digital controls and LCD displays, and featuring 19 custom settings for fully personalized digital photography.

The new 645DF system delivers exciting advances in core-camera technology, including an innovative new selectable dual shutter system. The photographer can now select the best shutter for the conditions – either the integral focal plane shutter, which can be used with any of the 15 existing Mamiya 645AF system lenses, or one of three new lenses containing an integral leaf shutter for flash sync speeds of up to 1/1600 second.

Digital Transitions also carries lenses and accessories for the Mamiya 645DF. Please contact us for more information.

V-Grip Air
Power and Speed in One Comfortable Grip

Key Features:

  • Mamiya 645DFMain camera body controls are duplicated on the grip for vertical shooting. Shutter release, front and rear exposure control dials, AEL, and AFL buttons are all where you would expect them to be.
  • Profoto Air wireless flash triggering system is fully compatible with Profoto Air-equipped flash generators. If you don't have a Profoto with an integrated Air unit, or if you own another brand of flash equipment, you can simply add an optional Profoto Air transceiver unit to your flash pack to have wireless syncing with the Mamiya V-Grip Air.
  • Flexible battery options. The Mamiya V-Grip Air uses the same powerful and rechargeable 7.2v Lithium-Ion batteries that are used with the Mamiya DM series digital backs. No need to carry multiple types of batteries—simply use the same batteries for both your camera and digital back.
  • A built-in USB port allows for future user firmware upgrades for both the V-Grip Air and 645DF camera body
