Phase One & Schneider Announce Innovative New Lens Designs
Phase One and precision lens maker Schneider Kreuznach announced a series of new lenses. Building on two years of intense collaboration which includes the introduction of four lenses, the two companies have now designed four new superior quality lenses for professional photographers.
The four new leaf shutter (LS) lenses are now under development and the first two lenses to reach the market are the 75-150 mm LS and 240 mm LS. Additional specific product information will be announced just before the products are ready for shipping.
Phase One and Schneider Kreuznach’s collaboration has already produced several outstanding lenses which are available today including: 55mm LS, 80mm LS, 110mm LS, 150 mmLS and the 120mm tilt-shift lens.
All of these lenses are specially designed for use with the Phase One 645DF and Mamiya 645DF camera bodies. They represent the pinnacle of leaf shutter lenses for medium format photography, featuring flash sync speeds as fast as 1/1600s, giving photographers unprecedented opportunities for image capture.
Photographer Michael Muller relies on his Phase One and Schneider Kreuznach gear to capture his creative visions: “I am constantly searching for equipment that can withstand the extreme challenges of my work, captures pristine results that are true to my vision and are so reliable as to justify the personal risk inherent in the situations created by extreme photography. Phase One gear with the Schneider Kreuznach 80mm leafshutter lens exceeds each standard.” See Michael’s work at: http://www.mullerphoto.com.

With the announcement of the new lenses, photographers can now get access to a complete range of leaf shutter lenses to use with the Phase One camera system.”
“We take pride in delivering high quality, high performance products,” said Dr. Josef Staub, Managing Director of Schneider Kreuznach. “The newly announced lenses will set a new standard for performance and reliability and hopefully become professional photographers’ favorite tools. It’s an exciting time to be developing lens applications in high-end digital photography and pushing the limits of what is possible.”
